German Bubble Gum Cards

This item consists of six (6) picture cards that were presumably distributed in packages of bubble gum in Germany in 1930. The cards, are each approximately 2 x 2 1/2 inches and contain a photograph on one side and an explanation of the photograph, in German, on the reverse side. The publisher of the cards was Eckstein-Halpaus of Dreden. The cards are in as new condition.

The cards are all part of a series entitled "Die Nachkriegszeit" (The Postwar Period). The individual cards are:

Number 145, January 1930 - "Italienisch-belgische Konigshochzeit" - Photograph taken during the wedding of Crownprince Humbert of Italy to Princess Maria Jose of Belgium.

Number 147, March 1930 - "Grossadmiral von Tirpitz" - Photograph of Admiral Alfred von Tirpitz

Number 148, April 1930 - "Schulstreik" - Photograph taken during a school strike.

Number 151, July 1930 - "Die Rheinland-Befreiungsfeier" - Photograph taken during the celebration of the Rhineland Emancipation (2 copies)

Number 153, September, 1930 - "Adolf Hitler vor dem Reichsgericht" - Photograph of Adolf Hitler before the Supreme Court"
